A Pitstop is a physical operational site, not a transport provider and not an administrative office. Pitstops support route continuity, vehicle coordination, and operational resilience. This role is not employment. Pitstop operators act as independent infrastructure partners.

Requirements & Standards

Pitstop operational requirements and site standards

01

Role Overview

Pitstops function as logistics support points for drivers and fleets operating within the network. Pitstops may support vehicle staging and coordination, route handover and continuity, operational stopovers for logistics flows, and temporary holding for goods in transit (where authorised).

Pitstops do not perform corporate, contractual, or administrative functions.

02

Operational Capabilities

A Pitstop must be able to support logistics operations consistent with Skydatasol Mobility standards. Depending on agreement, a Pitstop may provide secure parking or vehicle staging areas, controlled access points, basic operational coordination, and designated zones for loading or unloading.

Capabilities are defined contractually and may vary by location.

03

No Administrative Authority

Pitstops do not manage contracts, do not onboard drivers or fleets, do not handle billing or payments, and do not control data, systems, or SLAs.

All governance and administration remain centralised at the Skydatasol Mobility Headquarter.

04

Compliance & Site Requirements

Pitstop operators must control legal access to the site, ensure basic safety and security standards, allow operational inspections where required, and comply with agreed handling and access procedures.

Sites may be reviewed before approval and activation.

05

Integration With the Network

Pitstops are integrated into route planning and logistics execution. Their role is to support operational continuity rather than act as independent logistics nodes.

Integration parameters are defined in the operational agreement.

06

Data & System Access

Pitstops do not receive unrestricted system access. Any data exchange is limited strictly to operational coordination and governed by data protection and software exchange rules.

07

Service Governance

Pitstop operations are governed by defined operational agreements, access and usage rules, and compliance and security requirements.

Failure to meet standards may result in removal from the network.
